Need volunteers

Help needed!  We want to spruce up the medians a bit before the 2020 EDARAP on July 4.  Please meet on the middle median on Monday, June29 at 6:30.  Bring yard waste bags, weed diggers (we have some doozies!), clippers, gloves, water and anything else to help clean up the beds.  We will socially distance our weed pulling! Contact Peggy Pavlik with questions at pavlikmr9@gmail.com

HELP!

Our medians are in dire need of some work!  Please participate in one of these days to help clean up our flower beds:

Monday on the Median

Tuesday Weed Toss Out

Wednesday Weed-B-Gone

Thursday Throw ‘em Out

Friday Fix It Nice

Saturday Stop Those Weeds

Sunday Stomp the Ugly Weeds

Just pick a day and pull some weeds and trim off the spent tulip greens.  Not sure if it’s a weed?  Leave it, someone will know!  If you accidentally pull up a tulip bulb, push it down into the dirt.  Every little bit helps!

Please come to the median, bring a bag or bucket and pull weeds for as much time as you can give.  Bring the kids because they can certainly help out too!

Because of the social distancing guidelines we are not scheduling times to clean up the median, but they are in need of work.

Help us get ready for the 4th of July Edarap 2020.  Don’t know what that is?  Watch for an explanation in the newsletter being delivered to your home within the week!

Thanks for your help!

From you Field Club Homeowners League Board of Directors.

2020 Census Video Prize Challenge – Chance to win $30,000

Greetings –

I know a lot of you are bunkering in place and may I say it, bored – if you want a fun activity to help the 2020 Census and a chance to win the prize.  Feel free to share this challenge with anyone you think may be interested.

Census Accelerate, an initiative of the U.S. Census Bureau’s innovation lab, has launched a first-of-its-kind Video Prize Challenge for partners and content creators to help get the word out about the 2020 Census for a chance to win up to $30,000.

This open call for content is designed to help educate and motivate individuals so that they understand why it’s critical to complete the 2020 Census — from getting the funding their community needs, to representation in congress. The goal of this challenge is to reach hard-to-count communities with engaging and informative content.

Submission period is open through April 17th at 11:59pm EST (extended deadline!), and winners will be announced in May.

Three prizes will be awarded: a $30,000 grand prize, $10,000 runner up, and $10,000 student prize.

This is an excellent opportunity to be creative, civically engaged and make sure your community is counted!

Please see FAQ’s here and contact census.accelerate@census.gov if you have any questions.

In the meantime, please plan to join the upcoming Prize Challenge Info Session on Monday, March 30th at 4:00pm ET.

Thank you
